The Pilates Unlimited Studio

Pilates Unlimited the Art of Movement was founded by Tanya Thompson. This method of Pilates was formulated to focus on the more everyday problems that the instructors are faced with. As a Pilates Unlimited instructor, our aim is to help our clients reach their goal and to make them aware of their progressions.
This method is a combination of the studies I have done in the past. I received my training through Body Arts and Science and before that I did a course on the Australian method. With the experience in these courses, my dance diploma and my history in anatomy and the movement of the body, I have formulated this method. I have had so many experiences from clients and it is through these experiences I have learnt all that I know today.

It is through teaching that I have gained my knowledge of the movement and actions of the body.
Our method is based on the basic principles of Pilates, however we also focus largely on the multifidus in the back and the pelvic floor in the pelvis for stabilization.
Another focus is free movement in the body to prevent us from creating a rigid body to work from. We are specialists in movement and we focus on ensuring that our clients are well informed about the human body and their individual physical problems.
Our method is of the highest standard and this is proven through the clients we see and the results they obtain. We also incorporate cardiovascular exercise in our sessions to emphasize the importance of it in an exercise program. This allows our clients to do cardio here and not have to join a gym to do it. This method is so beneficial to do in more ways than one and focuses on the person as a whole.
